Despite its commercialization during the last seven years, Sapa is still a must-see on any northern Vietnam itinerary. On a clear day you will treated to views of steeply terraced rice fields, towering verdant ridgelines, primitive mud-thatched villages,

 

Itinerary

DAY 1: HANOI - HA LONG BAY

(need early flight to Hanoi and pick up at our Tourist centre/ or our restaurant nearby at 08:00) ( you may request for a private transfer)
Pick up (by shuttle bus) then take a three-hour drive through the Red River Delta to Ha Long City. Arrive in Halong City:
12h30: Board our Junk, check-in registration
13h00: Have lunch with welcome wine.
14h00: A fantastic cruise in Ha Long bay
15h00. Visit to Thien Cung cave, Dau Go cave, round over Tuan Chau island, or Sungsot cave
Swim at lovely beaches.
18h00: Junk cruise ankor by the lagoon
19h00: Enjoy 4 course Diner and overnight on Junk.

DAY 2: HA LONG BAY - HANOI

Rising to the sound of ocean coming to life for another lovely day. We breakfast over sunrise:
07 h30: Junk boat once again sets sail through breathtaking secluded Halong bay
08 h00: Enjoy breakfast while cruising
09h 00: Visit Bai tu long Bay , Teapot island , Chopstiks island , Bai tho mountain.
11h 00: Return to Halong city and have lunch on board.
12h 00: Back to Halong wharf and drive back to Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi around 17 00 pm > Dinner at our restaurant in the old quarter of Hanoi then get picked up and transferred to Hanoi Railway station for your overnight train journey from Vietnam's capital city to the border town of Lao Cai. The train departs at 21:30 pm. (No meal included)

DAY 3: LAO CAI – SAPA – CATCAT VILLAGE

5.30am Arrive early in Lao cai at 06 00 am, we get picked up and start our drive up the spectacular Sapa pass, which is 1300 m high, 33 km long. The bus ride uphill takes a little over an hour giving you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces. Arrive Sapa in the morning; we have some free time to wander around, exploring this beautiful multi-ethnic town.
In the afternoon, we take a walk to Cat Cat Waterfall to visit Black H’Mong minority people. Return to Sa Pa for a shower and a rest before heading out for dinner. Overnight in Sapa.
Optional activity: visit Ham Rong Mt. for some good panoramic views of Sapa town and the surrounding valleys.(B, D)

DAY 4: SAPA – LAO CHAI – TAVAN - HANOI

In the morning, start trekking down the valley along trails and across rice paddies to visit Black HMong village of Laochai and Dzay village of Tavan. We have a picnic lunch along the way.
We get picked up by Jeep back to Sa Pa. Later in the afternoon, we take the bus ride down Sapa pass to Laocai train station. Overnight train back to Ha Noi. (B, L)

DAY 5: HANOI

Arrive Hanoi around 05 30 am, get picked up and transfer to your hotel.

Highlights

Nestled high in the Tonkinese Alps near the Chinese border, Sape was built as a hill station during French colonial days, to serve as a respite from stifling Hanoi summers. These days, weekends are still the biggest draw in this crumbling hill-tribe center. Visitors from the capital flock to Sapa for a glimpse of the famed "Love Market," a trek to local hill tribe villages, or an ascent of Vietnam's highest peak, Fan Si Pan.
